YPSILANTI, MI (WHTC) – Eastern Michigan University President Susan Martin is set to resign her post on Tuesday. She left an administrative position at Grand Valley State seven years ago to take over the helm in Ypsilanti. Since her arrival, enrollment has grown to over 22,000 while finances have stabilized.
Martin is taking a year’s sabbatical before assuming a accounting faculty position at the school. EMU Provost Kim Schatzel will be interim president while the Board of Regents searches for Martin’s successor.
