DETROIT (WKZO) — J.D. Martinez clubbed the go-ahead homer in the eighth inning for the Tigers in a 5-4 win over the White Sox at Comerica Park.
Rajai Davis tied the game on a solo shot in the seventh as Detroit tied the four-game series with two left.
Bruce Rondon pitched an inning of scoreless relief to get the win, and Joakim Soria picked up his 17th save.
Miguel Cabrera laced an RBI-double, and Yoenis Cespedes added an RBI-triple as the Tigers snapped a two-game skid.
Zach Duke gave up the game-sealing homer to fall to 3-and-3.
Adam Eaton, Jose Abreu, and Tyler Flowers each had solo homers for Chicago, which fell to 14-and-26 on the road.
