ALLEGAN COUNTY (WKZO) — A Springfield man may be lucky he got ejected from his vehicle after he lost control on Southbound U.S. 131 very early Sunday morning in Allegan County.
His convertible left the roadway at the 56th mile marker, crashed and burst into flames according to Allegan County Deputies.
The 27-year-old driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies say alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
It remains under investigation.
The crash, the debris field and the investigation closed down one lane of the highway for over four hours Sunday morning.
