KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — Kalamazoo County Commissioners are down to their final two candidates after one of the three choices made has withdrawn her application.
Justine Jones, the only minority woman among the finalists, withdrew for personal reasons.
She currently works in South Carolina.
Still in the running, 60-year-old Dave Benda, the former Administrator in Grand Traverse County who left that post when his contract was not renewed.
The other, Jeffrey Davis, a retired Marine Major who has impressive military credentials, and experience working in the Pentagon but no experience in public administration.
Both are scheduled for interviews on the 29th in Kalamazoo.
