KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — Kalamazoo Public Safety has made another arrest for the shooting death ofOrlando David Walker, who died near a Kalamazoo Street Corner on a warm July Sunday night last year.
Police have been working through various eyewitness accounts to try and sort out what happened when on N. Church. It’s believed several men pulled guns and started firing.
Now 29-year-old Dante Lemont Johnson has been charged with open murder and three gun felonies. He has been arrested, charged and ordered held without bond for the shooting death of Walker.
It’s believed Walker, the father of three, was a bystander who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was struck in the chest by a bullet and killed.
Another man had been charged with that murder, but forensic evidence showed he was firing a gun with a different caliber. Kenneth Langston still faces gun charges but the murder count has been dropped.
Another man was wounded that day and more arrests and charges are possible.
