LANSING, MI (WHTC) – State Senator Tonya Schuitmaker of Lawton was named a member of a blue-ribbon task force created by Governor Snyder to address the growing prescription drug and opioid problem in Michigan. The panel, to be chaired by Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley, will examine recent trends, evaluate strategic options, and develop a statewide action plan by this fall. One-point-five million dollars have been allocated in the Fiscal 2016 budget for this issue.
