EAST LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Michigan State University’s Board of Trustees adopted new budget guidelines today for the 2016 academic school year, bringing a 2.7 percent increase in tuition for in-state undergrads. The new guidelines cover the school’s general fund, as well as athletic and agricultural and biological research programs, totaling 1.4 billion dollars in expenditures. Despite the increase in tuition, MSU reports that fewer students graduate with debt than their state and national peers.
