MIDLAND, MI (WHTC) – A long-time critic of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation has fresh ammo in its battle to shut that business-promotion arm of state government down. The Midland-based conservative think tank Mackinac Center for Public Policy’s new survey of 599 likely voters in next year’s general election showed 66%of respondents wanting money for the MEDC to go instead for road repairs.
The Mackinac Center claims that the MEDC is ineffective and lacks transparency.
