HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – An overnight mechanical problem on a freight train near Coloma has snarled the main railroad line between Grand Rapids and Chicago. CSX crews say that the problem that occurred around 4:30 AM kept the Pere Marquette train docked at the Padnos Transportation Center in Holland, forcing Amtrak to use coach buses to transport passengers to the Windy City. Railroad officials say that the line was cleared shortly before 2 PM.
