KALAMAZOO (WKZO)– A man struck by a hit and run driver on Mill St. Friday has now reportedly died from his injuries, intensifying the effort to find the hit and run driver who struck him.
50-year-old Leonard Harris was crossing at Mill St. and Dewey Avenue when he was struck at about 9:50 Friday night by one car and knocked to the ground, and then as he lay prone on the pavement, he was run over by another vehicle.
Harris was rushed to Bronson Emergency in critical condition and he could not be saved.
The first driver stayed on scene, but the second fled.
The hit and run driver is described as a 6 ft. tall stocky white male in his 20’s driving a white SUV with a hatchback. He was wearing a grey shirt and a baseball cap.
