HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The American Red Cross celebrates World Blood Donor Day this Sunday, June 14th. In it’s seventh year, the Red Cross has teamed up with Nexcare Bandages and supermodel Niki Taylor whose life was saved due to several blood transfusions she received after a car accident.
In Holland the American Red Cross will hold several blood drives in support of World Blood Day.
Communications Manager Todd Coleman of the Great Lakes Blood Services Region says the need for blood never ends especially in the Summer.
The American Red Cross in Holland has two blood drives coming up.
Sunday at Hope Church 77 11th Street from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Monday at Drenthe Christian Reformed Church 6344 Adams St. in Zeeland from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
