KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — Public Safety detectives are waiting for the results of an autopsy on the body found in a home in the Westnedge Hill neighborhood before proceeding with the investigations, but they do suspect it was a homicide.
They are holding a person of interest in the case.
PSO’s got a request for officers to check on the welfare of 62-year-old Debra Jean who had not been seen in several days.
They found her dead in her home on Edgemore Ave.
They believe she may have been dead more than a week.
The person they are holding is a male in his 20’s who is a non-relative, but has not yet been charged. Few other details have been disclosed.
