LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The Michigan House Roads and Economic Development Committee moved to the House floor Speaker Kevin Cotter’s one billion-dollar annual road funding plan after taking testimony on all elements of the Mount Pleasant Republican’s 12-bill initiative. The proposal is based on dedicating about $700 million in future dollars, shifts funding from economic development programs, and eliminates the Earned Income Tax Credit.
Minority Democrats are holding out for increased taxes and revenues.
