KENT COUNTY (WKZO)– A caregiver at a West Michigan Assisted Care center has been arrested and charged with abusing an elderly patient.
It’s not clear why 21-year-old Tyler Malone was finally charged now, months after heleft that job and was hired by another Assisted Care Living Center. Police are trying to determine if Malone has repeated the abuse with other patients.
The abuse allegedly involved an 86-year-old patient at the Lighthouse Crystal Springs Assisted Living Center in Gaines Township.
The woman claims he threw things at her, threatened her with sexual abuse and would call her late at night.
He is specifically chared with 2nd degree vulnerable adult abuse and stalking. Bond was set at 25-thousand dollars.
