LANSING, MI (WHTC) – More money will be funneled into the Pure Michigan campaign to the tune of four-million dollars.
The Michigan Lodging and Tourism Association says state lawmakers have approved spending 35-million dollars on the program as part of the 2015/16 fiscal year budget that begins on October 1st.
The MLTA credits Senator Jim Stamas for his “behind-the-scenes advocacy” and support of the tourism industry to get the extra four-million dollars appropriated. The organization adds an outpouring of calls and emails from residents in support of Pure Michigan also helped.
