LANSING, MI (WHTC) – For one of the few times during the Snyder Administration, the state Senate has asked for a hearing involving one of the Governor’s appointees. Minority Democrats have pushed Majority Leader Arlan Meekhof to increase transparency in this process, so he wants state Treasurer designate Nick Khouri to answer questions about his qualifications from members of the Upper Chamber. The former deputy treasurer under Governor Engler was selected to replace Kevin Clinton, who resigned last month.
