DETROIT (WHTC) – A new report has Michigan 17th nationally in senior health. The third edition of United Health Foundation’s America’s Health Rankings Senior Report showed this state strong in low numbers of underweight seniors, the ready availability of home-delivered meals, and a low prevalence of falls. Michigan needs to improve on obesity levels, as well as prescription drug and flu vaccination coverage. The report showed Vermont as the healthiest for seniors, while Louisiana was ranked last.
