ST. LOUIS (WKZO) — And the hits just keep on coming.
Yoenis Cespedes, Miguel Cabrera and J.D. Martinez all homered to power the Tigers to a 10-4 win over the Cardinals at Busch Stadium Friday night.
Those three combined to go 8-for-15 with three home runs and six RBI as Detroit banged out 17 hits in all.
They have recorded 37-hits in the last two games.
Shane Greene pitched five innings of five-hit, shutout ball to improve to 4-and-2 with the win.
Detroit has won three of its last four games.
Carlos Martinez struck out eight over five-plus frames of two-run ball to fall to 3-and-2 with the loss. Jhonny Peralta and Jason Heyward each hit two-run homers for St. Louis.
