LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Just as it did two weeks ago with no-fault insurance reform, the state Senate has given the repeal of Michigan’s prevailing wage law a fast track through the Upper Chamber. One of Majority Leader Arlan Meekhof’s pet projects cleared the Michigan Competitiveness Committee Wednesday on a 4-1 vote, and the three-bill package flew through the Senate floor on a seven-vote margin Thursday.
The legislation now goes to the House, with a possible gubernatorial veto looming.
