COOPER TOWNSHIP (WKZO) — A Kalamazoo County Deputy suffered a fractured ankle and another man was pinned under a car after a second driver hit the tree they were trying to remove from North Riverview Drive near “B” Avenue early this morning.
The Deputy found a car had crashed into the trunk at just before 4 a.m. Work began to remove it.
It was an hour later that the second car came along and hit the tree, injuring the deputy and the other man.
The Deputy was treated and released.
The other man was admitted, but his condition has not been released. Citations and possibly charges could still be issued.
Forcasters say we could seen more stormy weather this afternoon and evening.
