LANSING, MI (WHTC) – An EPIC-MRA poll taken last month of 600 participants showed 66 percent supporting the establishment of a graduated state income tax. Minority Democrats in Lansing are using this in an effort to get a constitutional amendment question put before voters in 2016 that would change the current flat income tax system. Some observers say that this could also spur legislative Republicans into action similar to what happened last year involving raising the minimum wage in Michigan.
