LANSING, MI (WHTC) – State House Minority Leader Tim Greimel has given Holland’s Tulip Time Festival a proverbial backhand slap. The suburban Detroit lawmaker chided Governor Snyder and Republican legislative leaders for attending the Tulip Time Luncheon at DeVos Fieldhouse and participating in the Volksparade yesterday instead of being in Lansing, working on road repair solutions in the wake of Proposal 1’s defeat on Tuesday. The festival is being held in one of the GOP’s strongest bastions, and is seen as the kickoff to the state’s spring and summer tourism season.
