Meekhof: Prevailing Wage Law Repeal on State Senate Fast Track

LANSING, MI (WHTC) – State Senate Majority Leader Arlan Meekhof told reporters in Lansing that three bills aimed at repealing Michigan’s prevailing wage law will be taken up in the Upper Chamber next week. The West Olive Republican, who was a leading figure in getting the Freedom to Work Act through the legislature in lame duck three years ago, admits that Governor Snyder is cool to this idea. Meekhof added that summer Senate sessions to deal with road repair funding are “most likely.”
