HOMERTOWNSHIP (WKZO) — A Calhoun County woman is dead and her boyfriend in custody after a suspected arson fire in Mt. Morris, Michigan.
Investigators there apparently found a burned out rented car that was traced to 44-year-old Amy Weinski.
Calhoun County investigators went to her home in Homer Township and discovered she was missing. The Major Crimes Task Force was activated and her boyfriend, 45-year-old John Barritt was questioned, taken into custody and turned over to Mt.Morris police.
Monday night, the body of the missing woman was located near the Flint River in Genesee County.
Charges are pending.
