DEARBORN (WKZO) — Gas prices have jumped up again over the weekend.
The analysts predicted they had peaked about a month ago and pump prices have continued to rise since. Apparently they were wrong.
AAA of Michigan is blaming the rising price of crude on the global market, regional refinery issues and the fact that May 1st was the deadline for the introduction of the more expensive summer blends at terminals.
AAA’s average price of $2.56 per gallon was recorded Friday. Many stations have spiked to $2.69 per gallon since then.
Its still way below what we have been paying.
