THREE RIVERS (WKZO) — Police in Three Rivers are looking for a tall white male who put on a panda head to disguise himself as he stuck up the Shell station on South Main.
It might have been funny if he wasn’t armed with a handgun and used it to pistol-whip the clerk, who tried to tackle him as he fled the store.
The “Panda bandit” as he has been dubbed, got behind the counter and grabbed some items but apparently didn’t get any cash.
Police found the fake panda head and the gun a couple of blocks away when they dispatched a K-9 to track the suspect.
He was wearing a two-tone jacket, baggy pants that revealed plaid underwear.
Police are looking for anyone who may know the suspect, or have a clue where that panda head came from.
