MARSHALL (WKZO)– It’s a case with all the signs of child abuse, if the doctors are right.
Homicide investigators in Calhoun County say they were just waiting for the lab tests and have now arrested a 28-year-old man for the death of little 20-month-old Athena Ramey of Marshall.
The man is reportedly the boyfriend of the infant’s mother.
The test results show the infant died from head trauma, or specifically, shaken baby syndrome.
He was the only one who had access to the child when the injuries occurred in December.
