BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) — A Battle Creek man is being investigated and tested after he allegedly caused a crash that injured 7 people, two of them seriously.
Investigators say the male suspect blew through a stop sign heading east on Greenwood and hit a car that was northbound on N. Kendall St. late Saturday night.
The at-fault driver then fled the scene on foot, abandoning his disabled car. Battle Creek officers were still at Kendall and Greenwood, reconstructing the accident and clearing the wreckage when the suspect returned to the scene and was arrested.
All the victims are expected to survive.
