GRANDVILLE (WKZO) — There was a lot of agreement between the folks gathered outside DieselTec in Grandville on Saturday, separated by a yellow caution tape when about three dozen protestors turned out to protest statements by owner Brian Klawiter.
The protestors came from all over the region, called there by Pastor Robert Teszlewicz, who said he briefly met with Klawiter to state their disagreements.
Klawiter invited a group of friends and like-minded customers to a barbeque outside the business. He discriminates against the openly gay and bemoans the fact that he feels like he is an oppressed minority because he is a white conservative who likes guns.
Both sides agreed that the other side has their right to their opinion, and that that opinion is absolutely wrong.
There were a few unkind verbal exchanges, but for the most part it was peaceful.
