KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — The Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement team and the Department of Public Safety are seeking warrants against a 20-year-old believed to be involved in recent gun violence in the city of Kalamazoo.
In fact they have identified several suspects and have been focusing their efforts on tracking them down. Thursday they spotted one of the suspects driving on Riverview and called in for back-up.
The suspect parked the car and fled on foot as soon as he saw the officers, dropping a loaded handgun as he fled. He got away.
They could not chase him because they had other suspects in the car. They did seize his car, and his gun, which was stolen from a recent larceny.
