HARTFORD (WKZO) — A belligerent drunk who had just stolen a car is in custody in Van Buren County after he wrecked the car, jumped into another car and sped away.
Witnesses at the scene recognized the suspect and Officers tracked him to Hartford. Arresting officers from the Hartford and Pokagon Police Departments found that he suffered several abrasions and cuts in the wreck.
Despite his condition he began resisting officers who cuffed him and hauled him off to the hospital for treatment.
He faces multiple charges including car theft, resisting, driving drunk and driving on a suspended license.
