Mackinac Center Poll Shows Minds Made Up on Prop 1

MIDLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Mackinac Center for Public Policy says a recent phone poll of four thousand likely voters in the May 5^th statewide election showed that 79 percent of respondents knew already how they would vote on Proposal 1. Practical Political Consulting, who conducted the survey for the Midland-based conservative think tank, estimates that about 1.8 million will cast ballots, which would be more than normal for a nontraditional election date. Many polls have predicted defeat for Proposal 1.
