Former Ottawa Co. Official Named to State OSE Leadership Post

LANSING, MI (WHTC) – There’s another change of leadership in a state administrative office. Marie Waalkes was selected by the state’s Civil Service Commission to replace Jan Winters as Director of the Office of State Employer. A former State Police Major, Waalkes was elevated from the Employee Health Management Director with the OSE, and was a one-time Ottawa County Department of Human Resources Director. The OSE oversees state employee relations and bargains for the state in contract negotiations with employee unions.
