LANSING, MI (WHTC) – After 18 months as director of the state Department of Insurance and Financial Services, Ann Flood has tendered her resignation to Governor Snyder, saying that she wants to return to the private sector. Flood was the department’s chief deputy director when she replaced Kevin Clinton in October, 2013 after he was elevated to the state Treasurer’s post. Pat McPharlan, who recently retired as CEO of the MSU Federal Credit Union, is Mr. Snyder’s choice to replace Flood as DIFS director on May 18th.
