ST. JOHNS (WKZO) –The City of St. Johns says they aren’t giving up on a fight over their ban on Charity Collection Bins, despite two negative Federal Court decisions.
Monday the 6th circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati upheld a Federal Judges injunction, blocking the city’s use of an ordinance to remove the big collection bins,
Planet Aid is defending their boxes, knowing that if St. Johns wins, a lot of other cities may follow. They claim that removing them would be a violation of their first amendment rights, and so far the judges have agreed.
