KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — Kalamazoo County Assistant Prosecutor Paige Timmer has been terminated after what has been reported to be a drunk driving arrest that followed a crash on Stadium Drive that caused injuries on March 14th.
Prosecutor Jeff Getting says he won’t discuss the case itself, and says he isn’t really in a position to prosecute it either.
He is turning the case over to the State Attorney General’s office. They can either deal with it themselves or have it assigned to another county prosecutor.
The 27-year-old Attorney and another driver, 30-year-old Lenia Harris of Kalamazoo, were seriously injured. Both have since been released from the hospital.
