INDIANAPOLIS (WKZO) — There will be no cheap seats in Indianapolis for the Final Four this weekend, the only tickets available start at ridiculously expensive and climb all the way to budget-crushing.
The only way to get tickets now is to tap websites like Stub Hub or some other ticket site. The NCAA also has an official site for fans to swap and trade tickets.
The BBB says that guy offering a pair of seats at face value on Craig’s list probably isn’t legit.
The analysts say the prices may reach record levels because of the quality of the competition and the fact that three of the teams have fan bases that are within a few hours driving range of Lucas Oil Stadium.
Fans in East Lansing can jump on I-69 and it will take them all the way to Indy without having to make a turn. That has boosted demand and so has confident Kentucky fans, who have no doubts their team will be National Champs.
The experts recommend waiting until Thursday or Friday to buy when ticket prices will begin to come down. He says Kentucky fans have purchased a lot of seats for Monday that may go for bargain prices if Wisconsin wins Saturday.
Remember that this is a football stadium and not an arena. You may wind up in a seat that is several time zones away from the action.
Right now seats in the nose bleed section are selling for about $300, tickets closer to the action may sell for 600 to 900 dollars, and the really good seats where you can actually read the numbers on the backs of the players will cost you thousands.
