JACKSON (WKZO)– Gas prices aren’t just down at the gas station.
Consumers Energy says customers in April will be paying the lowest price for natural gas to heat their homes and cook their meals in 14 years, and for many of the same reasons.
Supply is way up, higher than the demand, and that supply will be growing again now that winter is a fading memory. Prices peaked out at $9 per thousand cubic feet in 2006. They have dropped 61% since then, to less than $4.
