LANSING, MI (WHTC) – As the Healthy Michigan Plan ends its first year of existence, over 605 thousand have enrolled, which is 187 percent more than initial projections of 323 thousand when it was launched last April 1st. Governor Snyder, who championed this health care coverage for low-income residents, has been pleased with the response, with more than 344 thousand primary care visits recorded by enrollees. A five-year U-M study of the plan’s implementation commissioned by the state has begun.
