LANSING, MI (WHTC) – In an effort to “dramatically” improve motorcycle safety, the state Office of Highway Safety Planning is offering a specially-designed, high-visibility vest for bikers who successfully complete a public-sponsored riding training class this year. Federal funds are paying for this bright yellow-green safety accessory normally worn by road construction workers and first responders. OHSP officials are hoping that nine thousand riders will have sharpened skills from taking this pilot program by summer’s end.
