LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The per-vehicle charge on car insurance bills in this state for Fiscal 2016 will fall from 186 dollars to 150. The Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association made the decision based on “another good year of return on our investments.” Insurance reform groups say that the unlimited catastrophic coverage mandate still needs to be changed as Michigan car insurance rates are the highest in the nation. One lawmaker also wants to tap into the MCCA for road repairs as an alternative to Proposal 1.
