KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — We are about two weeks away from the due date for income taxes and scam artists are doing everything they can to divert that massive flow of money between taxpayers and the Government, in their direction.
Kalamazoo Sheriff Richard Fuller says they are seeing a lot of it. He says a real IRS agent will never phone you, E-mail you or require you send money through some card you buy at Wal-Mart’s.
He says the IRS does all its business by mail or face to face.
And they never send the local police out to arrest tax dodgers.
Fuller says you may do everything right and still be victimized.
If that’s the case, contact the I.R.S. immediately.
