ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) – Open murder charges have now been filed against Jonathan Colby, a 22-year-old Allegan man whose three-month-old son died on December 3rd. The Allegan County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Jase Colby suffered a cracked skull and injuries consistent with strangulation and suffocation. Jonathan Colby already faces a first-degree child abuse count, and was found competent to stand trial on that charge earlier this month. He remains jailed pending a preliminary hearing on April 14th.
