State to Get Federal Funding for Low-Income Housing Program

LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Michigan will get over five and a half million dollars in funds from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development for affordable rental house and supportive services. The money will go towards “extremely-low” income persons with disabilities, and will be handled by the state Housing Development Authority, with help from the Department of Community Health in identifying eligible persons. Michigan is one of 25 states receiving funding from the federal Project Rental Assistance.
