CHICAGO (WKZO) — Nigel Hayes scored 25 points as third-ranked Wisconsin clipped Michigan State in overtime, 80-69, in the Big Ten title game in Chicago.
The Badgers outscored the Spartans 11-0 in OT en route to improving to 31-and-3.
Wisconsin is seeded first in the West Region of the NCAA Tournament. Branden Dawson and Denzel Valentine had 16 points apiece for the seventh seeded Spartans, who will face Georgia in round one of the NCAA Tournament Friday.
Seven teams from the Big Ten made it to the Big Dance.
Buffalo will represent the MAC after beating Central Michigan for the MAC title.
