EMMETT TOWNSHIP (WKZO) — We could learn Monday why a man is being held following an investigation into a missing person’s case in Emmett Township.
The body of 54-year-old Michael Tungate was found in the backyard of a home near Sheffield and Riverside in Emmett Township on Friday. He was reported missing on March 5th, and may have been lying in that backyard until the body was discovered on Friday the 13th.
They believe he died from a drug overdose, but it will take an autopsy and toxicology tests to verify that assumption.
Officials have refused to comment on the connection between Tungate’s death and the arrest of a man who is due in court Monday for arraignment on formal charges.
