GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) — The Girl Scouts have good news and they have bad news.
They have had a blockbuster year for sales of their cookies, their big annual fundraiser has been a big hit this year. Maybe it’s the improving economy, increased consumer confidence or the undeniable allure of thin mints, but sales are way up.
The bad news is its created a supply shortage and that will delay deliveries to your kitchen.
Sales Director Brenda smith says the winter weather shut down their bakery for two days and they have had ingredient delivery issues.
It could delay deliveries up to four weeks. You will just have to control your craving for Samoas and Do-si-dos until then.
