DORR (WKZO) — A fire that killed a mother and her two children in Dorr is now being called a homicide and Corey Lee Lavalley Sr. has been arrested for his part in the death of the three.
The victims were discovered inside a burning home at 2360 Briarwood Ave. in Dorr Twp. yesterday around 1pm while were on scene fighting the fire.
They needed autopsies to confirm the identities of the three victims: 33-year-old Debra Sheppard and her two children, 12-year-old Emma McComber and 10-year-old Corey Lavalley Jr., from Sheppard’s relationship with Lavalley.
