BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) — He is exactly the kind of guy you want behind bars for life.
Sean Pike was sentenced to life without parole for the stabbing death of 27-year-old mother of three Nicole Gates during a robbery at the Citgo Station in Bedford Township.
He stabbed her more than 80 times, until the knife broke, because he bragged to friends afterwards, that he wanted to make sure she was dead.
It was one of those friends who turned him the first chance she got.
He took cigarettes, beer, lottery tickets and the victim’s car. It took the jury less than 20-minutes to return a guilty verdict.
At his sentencing, the repeat offender apologized to his family and kids, but not to his victim’s family.
They had just told the judge that they wished the state had the death penalty.
