BENTON HARBOR (WKZO) — The Saginaw man who claimed he saw a Demon on-board an Amtrak train just before he started stabbing people in early December, has been found incompetent to stand trial.
The attacks occurred as the train stopped at the Station in Niles.
Forensic Psychologists have determined that 44-year-old Michael Williams is too mentally unstable to aide in his own defense.
He won’t go free. He will be admitted to a secure psychiatric facility and receive treatment until its determined he is competent to face attempted murder charges. .
The whole question of his state of mind at the time of the crime is another issue.
The victims, 3 passengers and a conductor are all recovering from their injuries.
